Courtesy of the USAF. I was out with the dog earlier and 3 F-17's were taking it in turns to perform dummy bombing runs on the old hangers at the former RAF Driffield site. Diving in at steep angles then pulling up hard and banking away on full afterburners. It was quite a spectacular and very noisey show, the vapour trails from the wing tips looked great against the clear blue sky. * +

They disappeared at high speed, heading back to their base in Lincolnshire. All very top gun. Couldn't help think that the RAF would only have needed one run. Tally ho chaps, target destroyed and be home in time for tiffin, what! * +
