West German standby fire trucks are a bit more like it.

Kept as spares, never used, for legal reasons. Usually indoors. Many were recently sold off - so immaculate split screen VW buses, MK1 transits, 70s Mercedes etc.. bought up, recommissioned and decorated, now selling as top class camper vans. * +
