i wrote a reply to another topic few months ago that was basically the male version of this. The dude had serious mental health issues as well as being an homeless alki. He kept getting jailed for breaking an ASBO preventing him from begging at kings cross train station. we would release him and he would drink his release grant in a day or 2 then be back to begging as it takes up to 6 weeks for the dhss to sort your dole out. I had a word with our welfare officer about him and was told that basically nothing could be done to help him. They gave him a place in a hostel that kicks you out from 8am till 6pm to wander the street and no alcohol was allowed. Him being an alki he soon got banned from the hostel, and kept finding his way back to kings cross. It was heart breaking. If your a druggie and get locked up then the prison service has to maintain your habbit, if your an alki you go throu enforced detox. The dude went throu detox at least 15 times that i can remember so i guess it was his own fault that he kept going back to the booze on release ? thou as i said he did have mental health issues, and the pressure and stress of living on the streets. I cant really blame him tbh. I did hear recently that he died about 2 years ago. * +

Who are these fu*king people slapping restrictive orders like that on vulnerable people anyway? Oh you're annoying all the good folk by your insatiable need for 50 pences, let's just put red tape all over that till you end up in the prison system cycle and we, as a society, end up paying for you to stay homeless and untreated anyway.
