It's an art installation what will see 730 people,2 a day for a year keeping watch from a purpose built pod on the roof of hull college for an hour each day. They will be monitoring the choreography of the city. Each participant is expected to spend the vigil without a phone or camera.The sitter will be visible from vantage points in the city and the pod will be illuminated throughout * +

I haven't done people-watching for ages. Not much going on these days. A spot out in the sun is best.

I remember looking out the window of a mate's flat in Scotland for ages, and she's like ''Are you okay? What you doin?'' And i'm like ''Everyone's white!'' It was the weirdest thing. Like out of a film.
And watching a guy pushing a bike. Why not ride it? Oh, he's using it as a prop cos he's pissed. You just assume everyone's normal, then you see they're far from it. Focus on one person and watch them for as long as you can. Their etiquette with those around them. Their body language as they think whilst they roll. Can be quite insightful. * +
