if gotta stress that if... airlines would be decimated.
it's not looking good so far for hyperloop though.

Why is that? Is managing vacuum not feasible? Is projected speed not feasible? Is cost an issue? Any health concerns? Is it more of a science fiction? * +

if they've hugely downscaled their ambitions with the Vegas version to just being a tunnel at normal atmospheric pressure where you can't even drive your own car, it can't be looking good behind the scenes. * +

Ok I cheapskated Hyperloop while having a poo.
Here's the plan.

It's no longer a vacuum tube.
It's just an electric train inside with some efficient high speed cruising motors.
But..
The rear carriages are solid rocket boosters made from recycled plastic.

Once we get up to speed we ditch the SRB and they self park at the service depot.
replacement SRB carriages can be sent behind a train and self connect.

Jets of recycled toilet water from surrounding towns 'chase' the train to cool and clean the pipe of soot and po0p from the onboard toilets.

But..
You have to get x-ray scanned and have a big Polynesian guy put his hand up your as s before you get on,
because you can't fu*k around at these speeds *
