My stepmum was one of five sisters. Christmas round the grandparent's house was epic. I was the oldest, and over the years more cousins were born. By the time i had 14 cousins, family gatherings like that got a bit crazy..

It all started when my dad and i moved into a new-build house when i was 4yo. The area was a building site. It was a great place to play. With my new friends, we'd jump off dumper trucks onto piles of sand, walk through the cornfields, play on the broken cars in the scrap yard, and eat the veggies in the allotment.
Those days.. just one day then was worth a year now.

There just weren't any real boundaries in the late 70s, no big fences, gates, boarding, you could just play. Kids can't do much these days. * +
