It does to a certain extent, it indeed has several limitations; but several studies including one from University of Tokyo established that while face masks didnt completely block all particles, cotton masks reduced transmission between 20 to 40 per cent. And an n95 mask blocked up to 90 per cent of particles, even when ''coughing' was involved.

Are you suggesting this study is wrong?
