sorry im new to android. can any body tell me how to create contacts group so i can send msg to whole group. im using x10 *

Unfortunately, I don't know what the layout of the X10 is, but I'll describe how it's done on a Desire S with Sense UI which perhaps would point you in the right direction. Firstly open contacts, then on the bottom bar there are 3 icons, the 1st shows 'all' the 2nd 'groups' and 3rd 'call history'. If you hit the 2nd (groups) icon, you can then choose which group and then hit the 'share' icon *

(again on the bottom bar) this will allow you to send an sms to all the members of that group. Your layout may be different (you may need to open the options menu nor instance) but I'm hoping it's in much the same area. *

..but I've just had a good search around, and it seems like this is a problem specific to the X10; the only answers seem to be to either create your groups within Gmail then sync them to the phone, or download 'Handcent sms' from the Market - everyone raves about it as am sms app for lots of other reasons (I'm not really a big texter, so I haven't tried it) so you may find it's ideal for you. *
