just used quadrant for the first time on my desire n under system information it say's my cpu is a armv7 processor,i thought the desire used a snapdragon * +

I made enquiries on this with HTC and according to them it should have a qualcom snapdragon 1ghz cpu. When I Enquired as to if any earlier models had a different processor the reply was: 'NO' So iam at a loss to explain yours! * +

It maybe possable the software is identifying the cpu incorrectly, that can happen with computers, abeit rarely. * +

its not ARM7 its ARMv7, it has ARM A8 Cortex qualities, here's its spec sheet: http://is.gd/gho8L and here's an explanation: http://is.gd/ghoJP its basicaly a more powerful applications processor than the ARM A8-Cortex based CPUs e.g. TI OMAP. * +

So because the architexture has arm cortex properties its identifying it as an arm cortex cpu. That explains it. * +
