use third party launchers like go launcher, nova etc. check your home screen topic and screens. * +

scots1, just go into Applications -tap the Menu b*tton (button on the left side of the Home key on the phone) then tap Edit, then just drag what ever app you want down there. * +

what exactly do you nedd? you want to replace existing icons of call, messaging with custom icons or do you want to replace it with new shortcuts of different apps? * +
