What in the fw doesn't work with MTN? There's gota be a workaround surely

Internet isn't working, and I founf the work around on my current rom(4.0.4 official) I need to get a new sim, my sim is about 5years old, put my gf mtn sim in(its one of the new sims that can be cut to a micro sim) and 3g works, so I might just try the leaked rom, now that I know the internet problem is probly sim related, my sim works on 4.0.3 but doesn't work on 4.0.4 * +

I know, I can't even restore or create new apn's with my sim, but the moment I use a newer sim everything works perfectly, and all that changed was fw from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4, if I run apn global(from play store), it says sim not found, I can sms and phone but no internet on this sim or my other sim that is around 5 years old aswell * +

and if I run offline sim apn database it says your device has no SIM card installed *
