you can root your phone without a pc. you need to download a zip file called zip.update , install in your sd root. not in a file. switch your phone on and off. press volume up,Manu key and power key all at once. system menu will appear. use volume key to scroll. delete cache chose an option to update from sd. use the zip file after update choose reboot your phone. * +

remember to recharge your phone at least 60 check in your apps the will be an auto installed app superuser. open it and update the binary. install an app called DROAID SAIL.APP 2 SD. if you want to remove system apps download DROAID SUPER APP REMOVER. the app will highlight some system apps with red. don't touch them live them as they are. * +

that rooting method only works for a handful of devices, not all...by the way, it's update.zip and it HAS to be device specific. Anyone reading this, do NOT just go and flash a random update.zip unless you want your phone to brick... *
