What is your budget? You'd be better off getting a 2nd hand Galaxy S2 or 2nd hand Galaxy Nexus maybe even a LG Optimus 2X or Optimus 3D, these should be super affordable now and all have decent dual core which would make them more gaming friendly than a Galaxy S. The Galaxy S is a good phone but it is dated and you'd run into compatibility issues soon than you'd like with it. * +

i got a galaxy s and its awesome, had it a couple years now and cant fault it, i rarely use a laptop these days, new you wouldnt get remotely near the galaxy s for quality and ability, the super amoled screen is as good as the latest incarnations, it runs 2.3 gingerbread so compatibility problems wont be for years yet * +

Fair enough, if the Galaxy S is not having compatibility issues with most games and apps then go for it, still a great phone. Its amazing, when you look back at the 2010 Android flagships, the Galaxy S is the one that still sticks out as a good phone to have to this day, the Desire and X10 are but a distant memory. * +
