Android update 4.2.2 update now available for all nexus devices. although nexus 4 users are advised the update will remove LTE capability although this will only effect users in america because most countries use different LTE frequencies to the states including Britain. (the nexus 4 contains a hidden menu to enable 4G but its of no use unless you are in the states) * +

no leon29 the 4G option is hidden for a good reason. the nexus 4 covers the 700mhz and 2100mhz 4G bands both of which will never work in the uk. the uk LTE bands are on 800/1800/2600 by the time the other networks launch their 4G services. the nexus 4 is therefore not compatable with uk 4G networks and never will be! nexus 4 4G/LTE = NORTH AMERICA ONLY. * +

thats because 3 have rolled out their new ultra fast 3.5g service which is close to 4G in terms of data speed.(thats what 3 call it by the way) 3 have yet to launch 4G in britain but the nexus 4 will not be compatible with it when they do, its not a 4G phone in britain end of. I can assure you I know exactly what iam talking about, and if you research it properly you will discover iam right. * +

when 3 launch 4G they are not going to charge any extra unlike EE! http://www.crave.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/google-nexus-4-headed-to-three-as-hidden-4g-is-unlocked-5009827/ * +

3s new ultra fast speed is actually DCHSPA+ and the nexus 4 is compatible with that technology, as is the samsung galaxy s3 and some other high end smartphones. the tech works very well as you have so correctly pointed out! (but its still not classed as 4G regardless of any speed you maybe obtaining, for that you need a 4g compatible device that covers the 4g bands in the uk which the nexus 4 does not support) *
