if you try a custom rom on your fone you often find the name for your internal SD and external SD have been changed. this isn't a huge problem in itself, but you'll also usually find the new named external SD is no longer mounted as a folder inside the internal memory.. this means for example when using Opera, you can only download to your internal memory, as there's no way to access the external (even if you select /mnt/ on some roms). * +

but there is a fix, which for me means I can actually live with a custom rom now on my sgs2.. you need to write a short script command and apply it using an app called script manager which free to download from playstore. * +

there is a guide here http://www.technohunk.com/2013/02/how-to-execute-a-command-at-boot-android/ but I found that step 5 isn't quite accurate so I'll talk you thru what I did as well as making the script you need for your fone.. * +

the script command is mount -o bind /mnt/ZZZZZ /mnt/YYYYY/external_sd * +

the zzzz equals the name of your external memory as expressed in your /mnt folder.. in my case it's extSdCard, but it could be emmc. take a look with a file browser and make sure you've got it correct. if like me you find something like extSdCard - /storage/sdcard1 you only need the first bit before the space i.e. extSdCard .. yyyy equals the name of your internal memory as expressed again from inside your mnt folder, and only the first part if it has a space and - in it. * +

now just make sure you have a folder in your internal memory called external_sd (and delete anything inside of it leaving just that empty folder).. so now follow the guide in the link and name and create your script and save it. * +

step 5 says a window will pop up but it doesn't. you have to close the editor you used to type the script (I used sm editor) and find it in the script manager app as a file saved in whatever place you were when you created it. it's best that that's in your internal memory where script manager starts out as default. now you can tap on your script file which opens the screen shown in the guide, give it superuser access and start on boot like in the guide. restart ya fone and that's it... * +

side note: this works but at present because it's now seeing your card in two places, all your media will show up twice
