I've been looking around to get a top notch phone, I really like Samsung s3. I went to phones4u and they have one at 29 pounds a months, 600 minutes, unlimited text and 500MB data, free phone, it's a 24 months contract and on vodafone, yet when I got home I rang vodafone and you get same minutes, texts and data but at 31 pounds on 24 months contract, free phone, why are third party cheaper? What do they gain from it? shouldn't Vodafone be cheaper through direct? * +

most fone shops create their own contracts. Voda T-Mobile et al, charge a fee, and they decide what mark up to add on top of that. carphonewarehouse do it too. but your contract would technically be with the shop before it's with the network.. I'd never do business with phones4u, bunch of clueless dumb a-holes... * +

which would you go to? I just don't see why I go direct to network when I can get it cheaper on same tarrif. * +

and What do you mean my contract will be with the shop before network? if the contract is 28 pounds a month, that will go to network right? * +

depending on the deal, you can have a fone bill that comes from phones4u cpw or chitter chatter and not actually the network. I'd go to my current network and say I've been offered this deal, will you match it as I'd prefer to stay with you.. I've just had very bad experiences with phones4u where I couldn't pick up my new fone till the number changes went thru. and when I collected it, it was damaged. on top of that they put another person's contract also under my name so I was getting 2 bills * +

every month instead of just my own. they're clowns and ass-holes as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't give them a single penny of my money now.. * +

i've made 2 really cheap contracts with third parties while at Orange couldn't touch but now they are almost the same and it's not worth it so i'm still on pre-pay. * +

I remember both third parties where i had contracts were falimented so i could go and pay my contracts at the Orange Shop. If they are falimentary i think they are just a short way for some1 to get rich. All in my town dissapeared in less than 3 years. No there is only one new that i know of. * +
