Rooted my s3 and loaded a hd s4 custom rom it worked fine 4 a while till it asked 4 an update. I intalled the update using rom manager. The phone reboots but does not go past the flashing samsung screen. Please help. * +

check whether you can boot into download or recovery mode.. if you can it's no biggie, all can be sorted.. you are always advised to make a nandroid backup before you do anything funky to ya fone... do you have one? * +

it can and I did a reset in recovery mode so I can't find my backup. I downloaded the stock firmare how do I flash with it? * +

firmware will either be in zip or tar format. zips can be flashed from recovery.. tar needs to be done with Odin or hiemdal on PC or mac respectively or maybe mobile Odin too. * +

I forgot.. you can only flash zips with a custom recovery, not the standard one it comes with... it'll need to say CWM or TWRP on it somewhere, but might have been included with the rom you tried. * +
