Is NFC dead? I know this is an android forum but I'm sure some of you must have read up on Bluetooth low energy and apples ibeacon, google is also taking up on it, so it really doesn't look like NFC will ever take off * +

no one said it was dead,it's a new feature which can be used extensively depending on vendors. I think it's just under utilized. @john, it's just like Bluetooth, both phones have to have it, should show up when you want to share a photo, video,etc. on that menu with Dropbox, email, Bluetooth, etc. *
