has anyone seen the spec of the amazon kindle fire hdx? It knocks every other tablet for six with its quad core 2.2ghz snapdragon 800 processor, thats the same cpu as the samsung note 3! 339ppi display, bet this has p*ssed google off especially as its the same price as the new nexus 7 in the the uk. Just a pity about the amazon skin * +

yes amazon want it to go head to head with the new nexus 7 and with a cpu like that it stands a good chance even if its not the same android experiance as the nexus. lack of memory card slot is not surprising though. I can see a lot of people routing this tablet for its power. * +

Hd screen to buy their downloadable films and books and their games. It just seems like an advertising ploy, all these shops now with their own tablets there's tesco, argos now have one. * +

The Samsung Galaxy Note10.1 2014 kills it, it has a Snapdragon 800 2.3GHz CPU, 3GB RAM, 10.1inch display (299ppi though), 8MP Camera with Flash and HD1080@60fps vid recording, Android 4.3, MicroSD card support, 4G LTE and S Pen stylus: http://is.gd/rJDHUa .The Kindle is a beast though and will be competetively priced. * +

yes the new nexus 10 might. and what with the new note polo mentioned it wont be king for long. mind you its dam good for the money when you consider how expensive that new note tablet will be. while iam sure the nexus 10 will be cheaper than the samsung they will both cost a lot more than the amazon tablet. ive noticed that samsung tablets are getting quite pricey lately. that was pointed out by pc advisor magazine concerning the note 8 recently * +

the new budget tab 3 range are overpriced and under specced. they are still using low par dual core processors from marvel and intel and much of the other specs have hardly changed since the introduction of the tab 7 plus. in a world where we are seeing quad core tablets for around the same price as them, (and higher res screens) the budget tabs are poor value for money. samsung need to get their act together cos they are starting to get like apple, even though it pains me to say so. ive still got a tab plus 7 inch and its cpu actually outperforms the one seen in the 7 inch tab 2. * +
