i hav the latest version (20130826) on months old htc desire with brightness set to minimum and night mode on and battery fully charged, but if i open a cupla pages, battery suddenly drops to ~90 pct. i use opera mobile and mini as well but they dont consume battery that much. any ideas? * +

quit using such CR*P as UCweb, opera mini...
use some real browser instead...
and please dont try to sell me that s**t about less gprs data transfer and faster browsing...
I use Next browser and theres not much difference in data usage,
adn its faster than opera mini, (grin) * +

email UCWeb if you're that attached to using it. that or get an advanced battery monitor and play hunt the wakelock... * +

the fastest browser has to be penguin browser not sure what its lick with battery life though, give it a try * +

UCWeb lost its mojo when Symbian died, I haven't been that impressed with UC on Android, never even bothered to try it on my S3 or S4, used it for a day on the S2 and I was done with it. * +
