I woke up this morning and as i was going through my app drawer i noticed a new icon, it seems like google silently pushed a new ' photos' app to my galaxy note.. ive tested it and so far it looks great..it has different filters for adding different effects to your photos, and other editors... the app icon is a multi colored paper folded origami style.. * +

Yea I had this new icon update 2 week ago on my note 2, it's basically a new look of Google photos. * +

..that was present from the start in my Octa Note 3's Meny,under the Google folder and the name 'Photos'.. * +

Just turned up for me too, don't like it personally - Google always seem to be trying to get you to upload your entire life. The filters aren't anything I couldn't do with the default camera or Picsay and the frames are well rank. * +
