Looking to buy a new phone over the next month, i am buying the handset and looking to spend between 2 to 3 hundred pound. I haven't done much research yet but just seeing what people may suggest. Spec wise it has to be minimum spec of Galaxy s advance, removable battery is a must, also sd card slot (may make exception). I don't want a huge screen either, ideally i want 4'' but think that would be difficult now, 4.2'' is prob as big as i want to go. * +

I really want to avoid Samsung but still suggest if you think a Samsung phone may suit my needs, would rather get a htc or Sony. Think that's about it really. * +

The Moto g is one to consider, would have to get the 16gig though, and that brings the price up to Galaxy s2 price, not sure which one i would prefer. Also the screen is a tad big for me, although i would have to hold it and see if i could adapt. If the build quality is as bad as Samsung phones i would prob prefer the s2 for that price, that does have a much better camera. While the camera is not k huge deal to me, from what i've read, it pretty poor on the moto g. * +

If you like the GS2 then there's the newer GS2 Plus or you could get a GS3 Mini. * +

Just looked up the S2 plus, doesn't look great. How much of the memory on the moto g can be used for apps? My s advance (8gig) only allows 2 gig for apps but its not a massive problem due to memory card. Will have a look at the xperia sp and zr. * +
