According to 9to5Google, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is the only Android phone that has managed to hold a spot in the USs top 3 selling phones, even beating the No.3 phone, the iPhone5C. The Galaxy S4 is the only smartphone that has stood strong against the iPhone5S and iPhone5C, whilst the other Android flagships such as the LG G2, HTC One, Xperia Z/Z1, Moto X etc... have fallen down since the new iPhones arrived, what this means is that Samsung remains the only phone maker capable of challenging iPhone sales: http://is.gd/9OdGBD (omg) the GS4 is 8-9months old and still owning the Android market, makes one wonder what LG, Sony and HTC are doing, it's been a solid 3years of Samsung domination, I wish another manufacturer would make something worthy of beating a Galaxy S/Note and give Samsung some proper competition. * +

According to Tech Radar the HTC One is the best Android phone at the moment, I think you are misguided in thinking top sellers are the best . and yes I am a Samsung S3 user (can't wait to get rid of the blood thing) * +
