Hi guys,
I have a amazon fire 7 (2015) and a samsung galaxy ace.
Both devices are rooted and i am having memory issues (not much space for downloads)
I have already tried xternal2internal app and also sdk manager script from my pc to setting the sd card as default memory but this has not worked for me.
both ways did not change the sd card to main memory and it says insufficent memory when i try download something.
i do not want to link apps to memory card but rather use my sd card as the main/default memory.
I am running out of ideas now. how can i download apps to my 32gb SD card as default?
Thanks in advance.

you should search individually for each device over at xda forums. Amazon in particular has a heavily ''forked'' i.e. customised version of Android so it will require a specific Kindle solution to your problem.
bare in mind you'll be as good as wiping the device AND memory cards in order to achieve this.
EDIT: just checked the fire development forum (afraid) 4 topic threads only...
maybe there's some kindle forums out there too somewhere * +

Hi Mel,
Thanks for trying to help.
I actually checked out XDA and they have quite a few tricks for this thing.
my problem is at XDA i have a new account so i am not able to contact or post in it just yet and i am very unfamiliar with it.
I'll keep an eye out for a way on it though! * +

There is no actuall way that u will ever be able to install apps and run them from your SD card... There's a reason why Google removed that feature after froyo and it was that it was giving to many errors and freezing phones and using up most of the physical memory of the phone for the simple fact that the phones memory needs to scan the SD card continously and run apps from it. Even my 16GB Samsung S5 now only has about 4GB of space left all just. Apps my music, videos, pictures basicly every over file I have is now on a sandisk dual drive, that acts as normal flashdrive and as an external memory for my phone and I don't need to constantly move anything from pc to phone to watch or listen to its on 1 pendrive. * +

it's not actually installing apps on the micro SD that he's after. there are plenty of scripts and zips that switch internal and external memory so that your card IS your internal memory. * +

Lol ok 3mel its just that he mentioned linking apps to his SD card that got me there lol. Why doesn't he just use ucweb for downloads and then specify where he wants to download DOWNLOADS to via ucweb download manager. If u set it once then it will overide the phone settings of where u download to even if its apk files but as soon as u install the apk files it will install to internal memory or phone memory..... * +

I think he means apps or games when he says download, if not it could be the kitkat SDcard permission thing giving him a headache or as you say just a browser thing.
downloading SDcard fix from playstore and a better browser should help him if it's just files. if it's apps he needs a bigger data partition which takes some work. * +
