The reason why i think i need android 2.2 on my x10 is jus that i want to turn my phone into a portable wifi hotspot. Is that possible on android 2.1, that itz running right now?

Oh man, sorry i havent checkd into this topic. Ricky, its basicaly hacking your Android. Mayday, nope, you do it yourself, here's how: 1st register at http://forum.xda-developers.com then go to this topic: http://is.gd/tvdHcM and download the 1st file in at the bottom of that 1st post. After that unzip that file on your PC,then,on your X10 go to Settings-Apps-Development and enable USB Debugging * +

After that, plug your X10 to the PC via USB (ignore the Connect, Charge etc...pop up on your X10) then, go to the extracted file on your PC, open the SuperOneClick.exe file (one with the Android icon), then simply click Root and let it do its thing until it says it has rooted successfuly, and dont do the test it asks you to do. Disconnect and reboot your phone after that, and voila, done * +
