you must never use the phone- its a fact that the htc desire is awful when it comes to battery life. * +

the htc desire is the best phone i have ever owned. It does what i want and beats most of the phones out at the moment, as mentioned before, the battery is not its strong point and maybe htc should focus on that with their new phones. i get about 1 day usage out of my desire * +

my HTC desire since I rooted it and use cyanogen rom my battery life has improved greatly no more unwanted apps draining battery *
