Think 2.2 is available for the X8. Can't see why it shouldn't run properly, works fine on my wifes Legend. * +

Yep that processor can run froyo. Even motorola milestone2 running froyo on 600mhz * +

Milestone 2 is 1ghz cpu but any 600megs processor can take froyo. Heck even gingerbread runs fine at a 528megs Wildfire , even the LG optimus One is due a Gingerbread update if I am not mistaken. * +

How about RAM size? E15i is got a 128MB RAM but latest phones hav 528MB or there about... Wat limitation does dis impose? * +

Moto Milestone has an ARM A8-Cortex CPU at 600mhz, X8 has an ARM11 at 600mhz. I personaly would avoid X8 now and look at Defy, Milestone, Wildfire S, Galaxy Ace etc... *
