The hardware, OS-dev support, mod community and popularity. I personaly look at hardware, OS support and the design of the phone. * +

samsung galaxy s11 supports lte/4g data speeds of 21mbps. the same speed shared by purpose built 4g smartphones in america. it also supports standard A 5ghz wi-fi (as well as standard b, g and n 2.4ghz wi-fi) you cant anymore future proof than that. * +
