use net counter to monitor your usage of both wifi and cell. quick settings will give you a range of settings with a swipe of your thumb including turning all your internet off except for mms. READ THE INTRO SPLASH SCREEN CAREFULLY it will avoid frustration if you uninstall. both are free on the market * +
