apparantly gingerbread is available for uk vodafone customers can anyone confirm that? I use t-mobile most of the time but does this mean that if I stick my voda sim into the phone I will get the update? my galaxy s was bought sim free. a55 uming voda allows me the update would this lock my phone to vodacr*p or customise my interface with vodafone live etc? *

Vodafone haven't got it, and probably won't release for at least a week after Samsung release it. Which won't be for another week or two. Sticking a Vodafone SIM in it won't get you the update either, because it's the firmware that get's updated, not the SIM. Vodafone stick their own version of the firmware on the phone (VOD), which means only a SGS with Vodafone's firmware will get the update. IF yours is SIM free, then you'll probably have to wait for the XEU version to be released. *
