problem i know of with those bmw's... The cams and cam Bearing go's allot...The turbos ''it has a internal filter that needs to be changed but they forget to change so the turbo gets starved of oil'....the top water cooling line for the turbo likes to blow and when it does it sits above the abs braking system usually gets stuffed also co'z it gets full of water. i would not buy this car without a service plan from bmw its expensive to service also. * +

i once heard on a show on tv dat if you want de turbo of a diesel car to last longer, everytime after a trip don't just switch off de car but let it idle for a few minutes then you can switch it off. Is this true or wat? * +

all turbo cars should be idle'd for a few minutes before switching off. ''it lubricates the turbo so the turbo seals last longer'' *
