Any car can bend valves if the cam belt snaps but only idiots can snap a cam belt OR if you set timing wrong it can bend the valves. So yeah it can. Any car can. * +

my friend was driving his opel kadett 160is and the belt snaped,he just replaced it and its fine now,is there any way how i can see if it did bend without taking the head off? * +

depends..if the belt snapped during high rev then definitely valves will gt bend..if it was at low speed just change the belt and try...if engina can run then ya safe and if not u had to change the cam...higher probabilty is they wud endup bend * +
