Not a bad car and yes its just a mondeo dressed up as a Jag just nicer finish. The reason its so cheap is that folk don't want to run them, but saying that it should be okay as long as your not driving in town all the time. I'm sure there have been a few issues that owners have had. Get yoursef on a jag forum and see what faults/issues have arose before you splash out * +

There is two at garage, auto 44k on clock and manual not sure of mileage yet. Didnt know it was just mondeo underneath, thats put me off a bit * +

later xj's are appalling quality. My old boss bought '99 model new, under warranty had new engine, autobox, rattling dash replaced, ongoing elec prob-2 batteries, immobiliser, alarm, complete wiring loom, alternator, still gets flat battery from time to time. Alarm goes off at random. Paint blooming. His 4th since late '60's would never buy another * +
