caterhams cost so much ? i dont understand it . iv been looking at seven type kit cars a lot lately, i do feel its the type of car i want. the ones that iv been looking at have been bike engined Mk indys or DAX , a mint factory built 1000cc sazuki engine cost around 11 thousand. but further reasearch shows that these high reving beasts are hard to live with do to lack of low down tourque and * +

clutches made for bikes not cars. so i started looking at the original caterhams , 1.6 k serise engines and ford engines with proper gearboxes . no where near the mad umphh but uesable , thin is tho second hand caterhams are a fortune , decent super light with 14k covered will be the wrong side of 15 grand , nice ones go from 15 all the way too 30k !!!! and i cant for the life of me see why ? * +

the caterham i drove was 1.6 rover k series 100bhp , i had a howl and never got past 2nd gear . this drilled hom a fact that these cars dont need to be mega fast to enjoy , so a 1000cc bike engine reving up to 11,000rpm mite not be as exciting as it sounds in a car that u never really want to be passing 80mph in . iv got a 3500 quid of a loan to clear so with luck il start shopping summer time *
