they do need a reset from time to time as they only have limited memory and it can get full over time * +

Garmins hav a reset switch on the unit itself, just need a pen to push it...but guy at works tomtom played up and turned out to be a faulty sd card * +

garmin reset b*tton isn't visible, you press the bottom right corner of the plastic surround down firmly then switch it on. Just hold the power b*tton down for a few seconds after your navman powers up * +
