hi peepz i got a 1998 seat cordoba 2.0 16v the remote key dnt work i changd the battriez does any1 knw how to re sync it * +

a reply pasted from a forum - I had this on my car,- it would sync up ok but would only lock/unlock when it felt like it! Changed the batteries to no avail.In the end i managed to get a spare fob off someone on ebay who sells keys for scr*pped cars i think and just changed the fob and re synced and has been working ever since. just change the Bit with key and immob thingy. only paid 5 quid for it * +

Should come in manual of car, but if not, u need resync it, my car, disconnect battery terminals, put a spanner etc between contacts(not ones on battery, the wires!!) leave 10 mins, reconnect, then put key in drivers door turn to lock, open,lock open then start car, now turn off n try to lock doors:) that's routine for mine, ask an AA guy if doesn't work as they have list :) *
