Vrs;) basically if few yrs old , vw passat in guise n well made cheaper version, maybe a skoda, but most know it's a vw now:) * +

Don't matter which generation, they'r all good work horses... I'm on my 2nd octavia. Old 1 was yr 2000 with 230,000 miles on clock, latest is yr 2005 facelift model just turned 100,000 with no problems wotsoever... Like d4wg said ur basically drivin a vw 4 fraction of the price * +

Octavia is actually bora/jetta chassis with bigger boot space. superb is modelled on passat have 139k on my 04 with no problems so far * +

Very heavy,at the weight of an early 90s Ford Granada Scorpio. Bit dull but safe and reliable. Excellent 1.8T in VRS has to work hard but its still quick,and can easily be tuned to be quicker - very popular engine for tuning,lots of options available. * +

Oh and huge boot - looks like a saloon but hatch makes it a fastback. First Seat Toledo inspired this. * +
