Do normal check,you've checked the fuse now check globes n earthing,then wires from and to them then the switch. * +

If i hav to diagnose reverse lights that doesnt work, i always jst bridge out d switch n make sure d ign is on. If d lights is on, u know d circuit n bulps is ok nd d switch isnt working. Its 80perc of d time d switch. * +

I dont have reverse lights on my '85 VW. But when i did,the switch was screwed into the gearbox casing. Still is,just has no wires to it. Its the only part of the gearbox that has a wire going to it,so it aint hard to find. * +
