Sounds that way, these are the seals that sit around the inlet outlet valves in ur engine, and if gone the allow oil that lubricates them into cylinders and it burns, hence black smoke, either take head off n replace seals, or buy cheap head:) * +

Unless it's got cr*p plugs if either fuel, or badly flooding due to needing tuning * +

thx for the replies,i dont think its the valve stem seals.i 4got to mentioned that i smell fuel inside the car aswell.this morning on start-up i left the choke in and lightly revd it and ther was no smoke at all.so it got sumthing to do with the choke or carb. * +
