Didnt knew wat to name d subject.. Anyways, ive started a chevy project bout 3weeks ago. Its called chevrolet hatch. Thats it. Bet few of u know wat it luks like.. ..get hold of a 5speed 2.2petrol ranger g/box as it wud b a straight fit to d fe block and in order to keep d chevy rwd. Today i tuk d chev gearbox bellhousing nd hold it to d rear end of d mazda motor nd realise that i cud made it fit wit a clever adaptor plate. Now im just tinken, d ranger is known fo poor gearboxes.. D chevy box on d otha hand is a 4 speed. Bt it has nevr bn opened up b4 nd i.. * +

..guess they must b quite strong boxes too. Im nt sure of d gearratios bt d diff is 3.8 to 1. Takin in considiration that d fe revs quite gud nd that im only into quartermile wit dis car, it means il often need a 5th gear anyway. Wat do u lot tink? Any otha suggestions1 * +

1 otha ting.. D chev gearbox is very stubby. If ma measurements wer rite than d fe's no.1 cyl wil be rite above d crossmember if d chevy box is mounted to its original crossmember. Ive included a 30mm adaptor plate between d motor n box.. * +

hell m8, can't you leave anything alone? Lol. What year is the chevy? Is it a real us chevy or a rebadged gm euromobile? 1900cc isn't much for a yank, must be a small car. * +
