Hi can any1 help! Just got 98 corsa frm a mechanic at a garage Got a mot on the 24th of this month. Problem is when i seem 2 hit between 30 2 50mph there is a rumbling sound frm back wheel jackd it up and it doesnt feel like a bearing as there is no wobble and i a55 ume thats a tested thing on mot. But wheel does not spin free and sounds like brake is rubbing on inner drum! Any advice? Thanx * +

Cheers! fink it may be handbrake as it only takes 3 clicks 2 its fully on! Also car only dne 2000mile frm last year and it failed on things seizin up mainly so brakes binding on drum seems bout rite what you think would be best to fix it. Take drum off or re adjust handbrake cable? * +

Wat I'd do is take it to Kwik fit, as they do free brake checks n in they're taking ur rear brakes to bits, may solve issue;) if not, jack up rear wheel, 2 screws should hold drum/disc on, prize off, and wire brush inside of drum, then sand paper shoes to ruffen up, untighten screw/self tighten mechanism and check moving * +

Parts are greased, then refit, if still binds, or could try first, is take handbrake lever cover off n slaken cable, then, whilst driving pull handbrake up to bind a lil, drive a mile pulling up n down as this should bed shoes n rid u of rust etc :) * +
