Hey there just goina give this 1 last go b4 i go to garage 27 quid is what one wanted 4 just a half hour look:/ my thermostat is gd as once engine is hot you can feel the heat pa55 thru into rad fan works to also expansion tank cap was jus put on2day but the hot coolant aint passing thru the coolant hose frm rad and up to xpansion tank few ppl have said sounds like waterpump but am hoping it mite * +

B sumat else as its a corsa and it means timing belt coming off etc to get to it.Also does anyone knw if wen u take timin belt off if u have to put new one on as thats jus bn put on recently. My temp rises to bout 100 after 5 min then fan kicks in n brings it down to 98 or so still high tho. Just got this car so wana get it sorted asap b4 gasket goes with the heat. Thanx in advance:) * +

Mate, ur still struggling, just because thermostat is letting water into rad, doesn't mean it's working properly, if water is now going into rad etc, them guesses are, pumps ok, but a sticking thermostat could be the issue, it may open it may stick,but if fans are kicking in that's good, but if heats 100,and waters going round system, then it's a:temp sensor reading wrong,b: faulty thermostat,c: * +

Faulty rad switch d: cr*p coolant or v low coolant .so, firstly- never use any cam belt twice!!! Now, firstly top up coolant to max in expansion tank, and run engine, see if that helps,2, did u check oil cap / exp tank for oil? If doesn't work, 3, change thermostat, if no joy, 4, change temp sensor to dash, 5, change rad switch(fans) now, all that should cost u around 20quid for ur car, all now be * +

Good n new, as just because ur dash says 100, doesn't mean it is, as imagine ur temp sensor, thermostat, rad switch are all imerssed in strong coolant, boiling water and years of this, so, they like in ur kettle, unless u use deionised water, clog up with coolant and scale, and also fail n stick, so, just wisely spend the 20 quid, euro car parts should sell u, rad switch- 6-8quid, thermostat-6-8qu * +

Cool thanx 4 advice again lol. Rito everyfin seems to be circulating till it comes to the water exiting the rad up coolant hose an into the expansion tank that part just aint hapenin? * +

id, n temp sensor to dash approx 8-10quid, I replaced all in my maserati from Ferrari for similar prices, they're not expensive parts, but, I had a faulty temp sensor, n was giving me high readings, turns out common fault!! * +
