Ive removed d turbo'd fs 16v motor from my 77 chevy hatch nd fitted a n/a fe 2.0 8v motor. (standard production power 85kw in older mazda 626) ive port d intake side of d cyl head, built a custom racing intake myself nd fitted 2x 40 webers. Engine sleeves bored to 40thous nd nural hi comp pistons fitted wit double valvesprings. Standard cam, exh manifold n crank. This car is crazy! * +

Best thing is d total amount spent on d motor is R7k! I guess its around 110 to 120kw to a 3.7:1 diff ratio bt it hav serious traction problems even on dry tarmac. 0-100 is 8.5sec (suspect traction is a culprit!) nd runs in excess of 180kph like nutin. D combination feels just rite! * +

My gat het wee gejeuk vi n n/a.. Ek laaik van n/a tuning! For those of u who doesnt hav a clue wat a chevy hatch luks like, they wer actually vauxhals in uk nd rebadged chevrolet fo s.a only. In uk known as vauxhall magnum (coupe form) and in ausieland known as holden torana. * +

Yea its basicaly d same as d canam exept, d chevrolet version inhereted a sharpnose nosecone from d elcamino/camaro nd got retangular lights. D firenza was d 68 to 73 chevy.. Mine is d hatch 77/78 nd were d last vauxhal rwd before d astra A fwd started in 1980. Im starting to love this lil classic more n more each day. * +

Xav is the fe 2.0 8v the same motor as the one in the ford courier?nice results u got there.hows the consumption?what diff are u using?u can get a with that ratio from an e30.wonder if it'll fit or just use the ls unit * +
