just the one other works they turned up with a car far faster than the audi despite having a decade of prior development, ironed the bugs out and one won le mans easily, customer won sebring easily, petit le mans, silverstone 1000k, LMP1 championship.... * +

I would have far more respect for audi's le mans achievements if they were done prior to the withdrawal of the huge manufacturer teams in the late 90's, when mclaren, toyota, nissan, mercedes, BMW etc were still around. Soon as all those teams had ed off in 2000 leaving audi to walk it against smaller independent teams *
