Well, Iv started restoring my e36 328i and finally fixd the mechanical side. Now its time for the body work. Any tips on doing a gud paint job? * +

Ive learnt that when rubbing the car down to metal at rust spots, always use a rust stop or rust buster as the one I used is called as this would prevent the spot rust frm spreading and stop the body filler from cracking when the rust spreads. It also acts as a primer for the filler to hold on to. * +

After the primer is sprayed on, use a matt black spray can to spray over the area u have used body filler on. When u sand down the surface of the area with body filler, the area with indents would remain matt black indicating that the surface is not level with the rest of the body at that point. * +

Dont 4get to put a water filter/stopper (cant remember wat its called) on ur compressor b4 spraying. It filters out the water from the presurized air. * +

I dnt use a watertrap on my compressor or spraygun.. I drain my compressor daily. * +
