BMW bought it for about 800 million. They 'sold' it for a token tenner, but in the end they gave a billion quid to the phoenix four to take it off them including the plants etc. It wasn't all that bad a deal for BMW overall because essentially they a55 et stripped rover of its highest value stuff- the brands. Land rover was sold to ford for a good sum, they kept mini and have a bomb off it *
