Ahh yes the good old days, astronomical insurance even by todays standards, terrible reliability, awful corrosion problems, unbelievable theft rates for those models....wonderful * +

The point being that the old days and old cars aren't actually as good as you think they are for the most part 
Most of those cars are actually slow and very cr*p by todays standards. Past icons maybe, but they would get the cr*p kicked out of them by a half decent modern hatch, and not even particularly a hot one * +
