Is it a heavy knocking, and does the knocking speed up and get louder the higher you rev it? A knocking from the bottom and oil pressure light coming on could indicate a connecting rod or cranks haft bearing worn . Without actually hearing the sound its a difficult to say for sure. Your best bet would be to have a good mechanic have a look at it. * +

you have spun a bearing.. its a very bad problem. you need to either rebuild the motor of install a used one (depending on finances) .At this point I would not recommend revving the motor this could cause a connecting rod failure... take it to a shop and get it repaired.. I hope this helped * +

im done with this motor. any1 knw where i can get another motor at a reasonable price and will a 2l golf motor fit in the jetta? *
