ive blown my head gasket. repaired it bt now if i drive 10 km or more my oil light comes on with a buzz sound. some1 said i had a piston slap and i do not know wht that is.can any of you guys give advise please. it is a vw jetta 1600 csl. i think its an 1985 model. thanx * +

Did u skim ur head when u replaced ur gasket? Ur head could be warped. * +

Lmao. I'l rephrase that. Have you skimmed ur engine cylinder head prior to installing a new cylinder head gasket? If not, ur engine cylinder head could be warped causing a loss in power and an engine oil leak. * +

yes ive skimmed it put on a new gasket chnged the oil and filter new plugs and all but there is a metallic sound when i rev the engine and like i said the oil light comes on after about ten km's * +

You could easily have an oil blockage and low oil pressure * +

have you changed the filter inside the sump? I had the same the same buzzer problem and that's how I got it fixed it was on my mk2 golf * +
