The configuration of it.Jus da basic layout an setup of da block is changed.A v6 block or engine is in a V configuration an a straight 6 is basicaly 6 cylinders in a inline configuration. * +

engines like even number of cylinders in banks. Two banks of 3 then is naturally unbalanced. Most straight six engines are beautifully balanced, dont even need balance s hafts. Modern engines are generally excellent, but inline sixes definitely have a natural edge over vee designs * +
